Our team at Wasatch Doulas includes Certified Newborn Care Specialists, Postpartum Doulas and Sleep Consultants trained by ProDoula, DONA and CAAPA.  We are committed to ongoing education to keep informed on current recommendations and research for your benefit.  We are CPR certified, insured, background checked and immunized so you can rest assured knowing your family is in capable hands.

Julia Jeffery

Julia lives in the foothills of Salt Lake City with her husband and 4 beautiful children.  She is an accomplished baker and eager traveler.  Her inquisitive nature paved the way for her expertise in newborn care.  With a passion for her profession, Julia inspires confidence by giving you the facts and respecting your choices.

 

After working in the medical field for over 17 years, Julia gained experience in specialties ranging from ophthalmology to orthopedics before discovering her cherished role as a doula in 2012.

 

Julia provides professional, honest care to all of her clients.  She knows that every family is unique and deserves custom-tailored care.  Together, she helps you achieve your parenting goals.

Kiki Norman

In addition to her certifications as a professional doula, Kiki specializes in early childhood education.  As a wife and mother of 5 children, Kiki combines her love of learning with compassionate service.

 

Kiki enjoys reading, playing tennis, crocheting and traveling.  Raised in a large family, Kiki emerged as the nurturer with a patient and calming nature.

Kiki’s reputation as a trusted and reliable caregiver has given her a wide range of experience.  When it comes to children, she is an expert.  She has a gift for identifying needs and offering gentle solutions.  Kiki’s competent guidance alleviates stress and distractions so you can focus on getting to know your new baby.

Sarah Watkins

Sarah’s doula service is born out of gratitude for the care she received during her birthing and postpartum experiences.  As a wife and mother of 5 children, she empathizes with your needs and offers tried and tested strategies for success.  In addition to her doula training, Sarah is also a Certified Nursing Assistant.  Her extensive hospital experience has taught her to think quickly and respond calmly.

 

Sarah finds humor, joy and adventure in all seasons of life.  As a leader in this industry, Sarah works to provide a continuity of care to support you throughout antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum.  Since your needs don’t end in the hospital, Sarah’s wise and insightful approach eases your transition into parenthood.

Heidi Heckmann

Heidi lives in Salt Lake City with her husband and 3 children.  Academic research and a thirst for knowledge helped prepare her for a career in sleep consulting.  In 2005, Heidi developed a curriculum to teach healthy sleep habits.  She emphasizes that there is no magic wand for newborn sleep, but with a positive, holistic approach, you can cultivate and sustain nourishing habits for a lifetime.

 

Using her education in food science and child nutrition, Heidi offers insight into the whole that makes up a successful day.  She teaches workshops on child development topics such as Feeding Picky Eaters, How to Teach Your Baby to Read and Sound Principles for Sound Sleep.

 

Heidi enjoys daily yoga practice, exploring the world with her family and hosting themed children’s parties.
